John Hart, born in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, on March 25, 1703, was the son of Captain Samuel and Sarah Endicott Hart.

John married Mehitable Endicott; she was born on August 14, 1699, in Boxford, Massachusetts.  Mehitable was the daughter of Zerubbable Endicott, Jr., and his wife, Grace Simmonds Endicott.  Zerubbable was a merchant in Boxford and had married Grace in July of 1690.  Grace was the daughter of Samuel Simmonds of Boxford.  Zerubbable was the son of Dr. Zerubbable Endicott, who was the son of Governor John Endicott of Boston.

John Hart resided in what is now Lynnfield, Massachusetts and he was a farmer.

In a will made on April 9, 1777, John mentions three children and gives his real estate to his sons, John and Zerubbable of Lynn, and 53 pounds to his daughter, Sarah Braxton.  The will was probated on December 1, 1777, and recorded at Salem Massachusetts (book 352, page 558).
