Gertrude, Carrie, Aaron S., Aaron, Samuel Sr., Jonathan, Samuel, Isaac
Gertrude studied at Acadia (Horton Academy) for one
year. She married Barnabus Ezekiel Armstrong in
1934, which along with his brother operated a very
successful heavy construction company in New
Brunswick. They had a lovely house on the St. John
River where Gertrude developed beautiful gardens and
they raised their only child, James. Gertrude had the
trademark Hartt snow-white hair from an early age.
